Limerick GAA Health and Wellbeing Seminar on Thursday Night:
Limerick GAA Health and Wellbeing/Games for All committee are holding a special event celebrating good practice and offering new insights for clubs tomorrow Thursday 29th January in the Woodlands House Hotel in Adare. This free event will feature guest speakers from both national and local level; light refreshments from 7pm; Speakers and presentations from 7.30pm on wellbeing and mental health – Iggy Clare, Galway; healthy clubs overview – Amy Coll, Croke Park; achieving gold awards as healthy clubs (presentation from Athea and Claughaun GAA clubs); how Tusla can support GAA club – Deirdre O’Donoghue (Education Officer Tusla); there will also be information stands (Samaritans Limerick Mental Health Association and others); presentation of awards to Limerick Healthy Clubs; short outlines of successful activities run by other Limerick clubs; MC for the evening Paul Foley, Patrickswell; opening by Seamus McNamara (Limerick County GAA Board chairperson); Q & A session; refreshments and spot prizes on the night.

This free event is from 7.30pm to 9.30pm is open to members of GAA, LGFM, Camogie, Handball and Rounders clubs and the wider community.
2026 National Club Draw:
Granagh/Ballingarry GAA Club are promoting the 2026 National Club Draw. There is no financial cost to the club to get involved as all costs of tickets and prizes are covered by the Central Council. In addition to maintaining the proceeds for all tickets sold by the club, any club who sells a minimum of 200 tickets automatically gets into a draw for €1,000, a prize won by Granagh/Ballingarry in March 2024. Prizes include: 1st Toyota Corolla Hybrid, 2nd €20,000, 3rd €10,000, 4th €5,000, 5th €5,000, 6th €2,500 holiday voucher, 7th and 8th prize All Ireland and Football Final package, 9th All Ireland Football Final package 2026, 10th All Ireland Hurling Final package 2026.
Club Specific Draw:
A draw will take place whereby three clubs receive €5,000. Another draw will take place whereby one club in each county will receive €1000. The club with the highest ticket sales in each province will receive €1,000. To qualify for these draws a club must sell a minimum of 200 tickets, record all sold on the online ticketing system account for all funds raised through the draw separately on the club account, adhere to all terms and conditions of the draw which was outlined on the back of the tickets. The draw will take place on Wednesday 25th March in Croke Park and tickets are currently on sale online in local shops/bars and from promoters. 2026 Irish Scholarship Competition:
Munster GAA is delighted to announce that the 2026 scholarship competition for second level students age 12-17 years wishing to attend a Gaeltacht course this summer is now open for applications (minimum stay two weeks), one full scholarship per county in the province will be awarded. Scholarships will cover the full cost of the Gaeltacht course. Entry requirements are as follows: applicants must be a current member of a GAA LGFA or Camogie Club in Munster. Applicants aged 12-17 are required to submit recording in Irish of one minute’s duration on the following topic: Mo Chlub (based on Gaelic Games of all codes), videos to also include a brief introduction of self from the student outlining their interest in Gaeilge and culture. Integration Submissions:
The Steering Group on integration in Croke Park are holding an integration roadshow for Munster counties on Tuesdays 10th March in Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork 7pm to 9pm. Registration will open in early February and will be on a first come, first served basis (due to venue capability restrictions). Please note the sessions will be live streamed, so if you are unable to attend the option to join remotely will be available to you.
On the night the steering group will be presenting various proposals surrounding one membership-one club – one county – one province – one association (the new GAA). The steering groups will be in touch with the club again to advise when registrations will open. National Hurling and Football League Tickets:
All Granagh/Ballingarry GAA club members please take note that tickets for all Limerick hurling League Division 1A and National Football League Division are only available online through Ticketmaster.
Munster Championship Tickets:
Tickets for the 2026 Munster Senior Hurling and Football Championship games will go on sale in the first week in April available via www.gaa/ie/tickets.ticketmaster and selected Centra and SuperValu outlets. Note season ticket holders will be allocated tickets by the season ticket team. Queries regarding these tickets should be directed to seasontickets@gaa.ie
Limerick GAA Season Tickets:
Limerick County GAA Board launched their 2026 season tickets recently. The tickets will entitle the bearer entry to all Limerick County Board club games in 2026 for €150. It would make an ideal present for a family member or friend and can be purchased online at limerickgaa.ie Tel 061-335576.

Scór:
The Limerick County Senior Scór Finals are on Friday 27th March at a venue to be confirmed at 7pm.
The question time final team of 4 will be held at Mungret St. Paul’s GAA Clubhouse on Thursday 26th February at 8pm. Anybody interested in taking part and representing Granagh-Ballingarry please contact club Irish Cultural Officer Christina O’Connell asap at 087-1630784 before Friday 19th February. There are eight event disciplines in Scór that cover all aspects of Irish culture, Figure dancing, Solo singing, Recitation, Ballad Group, Drama, Instrumental music and Set dancing. In 2025 Johnny O’Riordan RIP of Granagh-Ballingarry who first competed in Scór back in 1974 won his first ever  Limerick County Senior Scór medal, when he teamed up with Christine O’Connell to win the Instrumental music competition.
2026 Club Draw Lottery:
The Granagh-Ballingarry 2026 Club draw will be held quarterly with €2,000 in prizes: 1st €1,000 with ten prizes of €100 with the option to join the club weekly lottery  draw for €150 and the club draw lottery/county club draw for €200. If you wish to renew your membership please contact our promoter on or before 19th March as the first County Club Draw will take place on Saturday 28th March.
2026 County GAA Club Draw:
Granagh/Ballingarry GAA Club are once more promoting the Limerick County Club draw. There will be monthly draws from March to December with a top prize of €10,000. There are a host of other prizes to be won, 2nd €3,000, 3rd €2,000, 4th €1,000, 5th executive star prize, 6th to 9th €5000, 10th to 13th €300, 14th to 30th €200. Our club had approximately 198 members in the 2025 draw and six winners club chairperson Andrew Holmes and Noreen Hennessy won €200 in the first draw in March, Mary Horgan €200 in July, Richard Chawke €200 in August, David O’Hanlon €10,000 and Paudie O’Sullivan €2,000 in November. Club Membership 2025:
Granagh/Ballingarry GAA Club membership fees for 2026 are fixed at €100 to include membership of the club draw. Bord na nÓg players €40 (€90 maximum for two or more players), no family membership. Players to register online to pay fees through Foireann at gaa.ie as per official guide before training and playing season commence. Note All membership fees to be paid on or before Tuesday 31st March.
Medal Presentation Awards Function:
All roads lead to Granagh Community Centre on Friday night 27th February at 8pm for a night of nostalgia, celebration and craic at the Granagh/Ballingarry GAA club medal presentation awards function. Players and supporters will be celebrating their achievements of the past year as well as looking forward to the 2026 season. We will honour the manyu acclaimed and outstanding successes of our minor hurlers winning the inaugural County Minor C Hurling Championship defeating neighbours Knockaderry 1-15 to 2-8 in the final at Páirc Caoimh Uí Luing on Sunday 7th September. The U17 hurlers on winning the County Division 4 League title defeating Cois Laoi Gaels (Effin/Staker Wallace) in the final at Fedamore on Wednesday 7th May. The U16s on completing a remarkable County U16 Hurling Division 3 Hurling and Division 4 Football Division 4 Championship, doubly defeating South Liberties/Crecora/Manister 0-23 to 1-11 in the hurling final at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on Saturday 11th October and gallant neighbours Knockaderry 0-9 to 1-5 in the football decider on Saturday 25th October at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale. The following 36 players will be part of the medal presentations which will be performed by a special guest of honour to be confirmed. County solo singing Scór winners: Maurice Noonan in recognition for captaining Munster Hurling/Camogie Club to league and five All Irelands-in-a-row, appointed vice captain of the Irish Wheelchair Para Floorball team and received all-star midfielder and hurler of the year award 2025 Donal O’Grady in recognition for  managing Limerick minor hurling team in 2025, Intermediate Hurling Junior B Hurling Junior A Football player of the year, most dedicated adult player of the year, club service and club person of the year award will be announced.
Recognition presentations will be made to Adrian Farragher for his outstanding service as club treasurer 2019 to 2025, Niall Fitzgerald treasurer 2024 – 2025, Paul McDonagh (coaching officer 2024-2025), Donagh McCarthy (Bord na nÓg chairperson 2024 – 2025) Donagh McCarthy (Bord na nÓg chairperson 2024-2025). Your support for this medal presentation and awards went on Friday 27th January in Granagh Community Centre would be greatly appreciated. Finger food and light refreshments will be served on the night.

A well taken point by Niall Corbet three minutes into added time saved the way for a thrilling 1-10 to 0-13 draw for Laois with newly-promoted Limerick in the opening round of Division 3 in the National Football League at O’Moore Park, Portlaoise on Saturday night. Limerick’s next outing is this Saturday 31st January at 2pm in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale where they face a Down side, five point 2-19 to 2-14 winners over Clare at Pairc Ester Newry on Saturday. Your support for the boys in green and white at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale would be appreciated.
National Hurling League Division 1A Round 2:
We wish the best of luck to manager John Kiely, our own Donal O’Grady and the rest of the management team as Limerick senior hurlers travel to Walsh Park Waterford to play the home side in round 2 of Division 1A of the National Hurling League this Sunday 1st February at 2pm. In the opening series of league games on Sunday Waterford suffered a heavy 3-25 to 1-17 defeat to holders Cork at Pairc Ui Chaoimh while Limerick had a bye. Your support for the Shannonsiders in Walsh Park Waterford on Sunday for the 2pm throw in would be appreciated to cheer them on to a winning start to their National Hurling League Division 1A campaign.

€13,800 Jackpot on Saturday:
There was no winner of the €13,700 jackpot in the Granagh-Ballingarry GAA club lottery held on Saturday 24th January in January in Condron’s Bar, Ballingarry. The numbers drawn were 2, 6, 20 and 25. The lucky dip winners of €20 each went to Catherine Aherne, promoter online, Patrick Horgan, promoter The Rock Bar, Granagh; Niamh O’Keeffe, promoter Laura O’Keeffe; John Carroll, promoter John Carroll.
The next draw will be held on Saturday 31st January in Buckley’s Bar, Ballingarry for a jackpot of €13,800. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5 and are on sale in local shops, bars and from promoters.
