Credit Unions begin the second year of sponsorship with the 
Credit Union Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
Following a very successful first year of sponsorship, Limerick GAA have again teamed up with local Credit Unions as sponsor for 2017 to sponsor the Credit Union Limerick Senior Hurling Championship which throws in next weekend.
Everyone is looking forward to a very exciting hurling year as Patrickswell begin the defense of the County title having won the title by beating their parish neighbours Ballybrown in the County Final last October.
It’s been a long six months but now each club has the opportunity to start on that journey and hope for success this year.  
At the recent launch, speaking on behalf of the Credit Unions, Mr. Michael Hogan, Chairperson of Chapter 13 Credit Unions, commented that “the sponsorship of the Credit Union Limerick Senior Hurling championship sits perfectly with the credit union brand and ethos. As a sporting organisation the GAA is unique. Throughout Ireland the organisation acts as a hub for so many communities with a strong culture of volunteering on all levels. 
Credit Unions mirror the GAA in many respects, especially with the volunteer input and the presence in every city, town and village. Most GAA club members are also Credit Union members . As our slogan states “The GAA looks after you physically and your Credit Union looks after you financially”. 
Limerick GAA represents what is best within the GAA and the Credit Unions are proud to support such an organisation as it reflects our involvement within communities both locally and nationally, where Credit Unions are also very much embedded into the fabric of communities. “Your club and your credit union will make a great team for 2017”.
