Jimmy Kirby

Group Managing Director

Jimmy is Group Managing Director with responsibility for the performance of the Company through the formulation and implementation of strategy and continuously building an effective executive management team. Jimmy has been awarded a Master of Business Studies Degree from University College Cork and a Master of Science Degree from Dublin Institute of Technology.

Mark Flanagan

Group Operations Director

Mark has overall responsibility for operational activities across all business units and regions. Working closely with Jimmy as Group Managing Director, Mark is centrally involved in the direction of company operations to achieve client satisfaction and overall team performance. He has previously held positions in project and contracts management within the Group.

Derry McMahon

Group Finance Director and Company Secretary

Derry is responsible for the company’s financial management through ensuring adequate systems, controls and risk management procedures are in place. He also has responsibility for support services relating to human resources, administration and information technology. Derry is a qualified accountant and has been awarded a diploma in Strategic HR from U.C.C. He has held his current position since 2010, having previously been Group Financial Controller.

Ray Ryan

Group QEHS Director

Ray is the Group QEHS Director with Board level responsibility for all EHS and Quality activities across the company. Working closely with the other directors, in-house departments and QEHS professionals within Kirby, he is centrally involved in directing the company to achieving world-class QEHS practices. Ray has been with Kirby since 1994 and has previously held positions in Contract Management and Operations within the Group.Prior to this, he spent 10 years in the United States as a Senior Project Engineer on multi-million dollar projects in the Municipal and Industrial sectors.

Conor O’Brien

Group Commercial Director

Conor is responsible for the development and implementation of Group Commercial Strategy. Aligned to the overall Company, he endeavours to execute commercial undertakings in a processed and controlled manner, through the Functional Teams, to support Operations which includes but not limited to Customer, Contract, Risk, Cost and Change Control Management. Conor has been awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Law and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Quantity Surveying.

Fergus Frawley

Chairman

Fergus is responsible for chairing the Board and ensuring that the company’s strategic policies and direction are aligned with that of the shareholders, mentoring members of the management team, and acting as a representative for the company in external industry and corporate relationships. Prior to his appointment as Chairman, Fergus held the position of Group Managing Director from 2006 to 2016. He is a past President of the Electrical Contractors Association.
